Bean Salad

Ingredients
- 1 can French green beans
- 1 can yellow wax beans
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 can garbanzo beans
- ½ cup minced onion
- ½ cup green pepper, sliced
- ½ cup oil
- ½ cup vinegar
- ½ tsp pepper
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Drain beans in a non-metal container. Add pepper and onion.
- Mix all other ingredients.
- Toss together and chill overnight in liquid.
24 Hour Salad
Servings 12
Ingredients
- ¾ lb sliced bacon
- 1 large head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- ¼ cup onion, sliced
- ¼ cup celery, thinly sliced
- 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 10 oz package frozen peas
- 1 cup mayonnaise, or to taste
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ lb cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp Parmesan or Romano cheese
- 4 medium tomates, cut into wedges
- 2 large eggs, hard-cooked, sliced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Spread the lettuce out on a large serving dish or bowl. Sprinkle the onion, celery, water chestnuts and frozen pees (unthawed) over the lettuce in layers.
- Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix together. Spread over top like a frosting. Sprinkle with sugar and grated cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Cook bacon in a skillet until evenly grown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
- Before serving, sprinkle crumbled bacon over the top, and garnish with tomato wedges, slices of hard-cooked egg, and parsley.
Congealed Green Salad

Ingredients
- 1 pkg lime jello
- 1 pkg lemon jello
- 3 cups hot water
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ¾ cup nuts (I like pecans)
- 1 tbsp horseradish
- 1 #2 can pineapple
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Dissolve jello in hot water. Add pineapple and refrigerate until starting to set.
- Add other ingredients and mix together.
- Pour into 13"x9" dish. Chill thoroughly.
Frozen Fruit Salad
Ingredients
- 1 #2 can fruit cocktail
- 1 pt sour cream
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 banana, diced
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1½ cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Drain fruit cockail. Add remaining ingredients. Mix and freeze.
Crab Salad

Ingredients
- 1 lb regular or claw crab meat
- 20 olives, sliced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 4 strips Dill sweet pickle strips, diced Not as good if you use anything but dill sweet pickles.
- 10-15 tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp mustard
- Worchestershire sauce to taste
- ¼ tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients. Serve.
